The Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, today declared open the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Pre-Orientation Course Workshop and launched the NYSC Staff E-Training Portal in Abuja.
The workshop, themed “Reimagining the NYSC Orientation Course: Building Resilient, Responsible, and Service-Oriented Corps Members for a Changing World,” underscores the need for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to continually adapt its orientation programmes to Nigeria’s evolving realities and the aspirations of young Nigerians.
The Honourable Minister reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to ensuring that corps members emerge from the NYSC experience not only with a certificate of national service, but with enhanced skills, stronger employability, clearer career pathways, and the confidence to create value for themselves and society.
He emphasized the importance of equipping young Nigerians with the knowledge, skills, and resilience required to navigate an increasingly dynamic world while contributing meaningfully to national development.
The newly launched NYSC Staff E-Training Portal is expected to strengthen the capacity of NYSC personnel by providing continuous learning and professional development opportunities, thereby supporting a more knowledgeable, responsive, and effective workforce as the Scheme continues to evolve.
