2026 FEDERAL CIVIL SERVICE WEEK: FEDERAL MINISTRY OF YOUTH DEVELOPMENT HONOURS STAFF, DIRECTORS, AND MINISTER FOR EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE

The Federal Ministry of Youth Development commemorated the 2026 Federal Civil Service Week with a grand appreciation ceremony dedicated to recognising the outstanding contributions, dedication, and commitment of its workforce.

The event, which celebrated excellence in public service, saw staff across all Departments of the Ministry honoured for their diligence, professionalism, and selfless service to the Ministry and the nation at large. As a token of appreciation, every member of staff received a personalized letter of appreciation, a customized diary with a pen amongst others in recognition of their invaluable contributions to the Ministry’s achievements.

In her remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Maryam Ismaila Keshinro, commended the staff for their unwavering commitment to duty and encouraged them to remain steadfast in upholding the core values of the Federal Civil Service.

She also paid special tribute to the Directors of the Ministry for their exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to professionalism, transparency, accountability, and efficiency.

 In recognition of their outstanding service, each Director was presented with a personalized letter of appreciation,  Honourable  Minister’s personal gift of Laptop, a customized diary with a pen, and a commemorative plaque as a symbol of honour and gratitude.

The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of a special plaque to the Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande by the Permanent Secretary, on behalf of the Management Team and the entire staff of the Ministry. The award was in recognition of his exemplary leadership, innovative vision, and unwavering commitment to youth development, qualities that have significantly enhanced the Ministry’s visibility, strengthened teamwork, and positioned it as a leading institution in advancing youth-focused policies and programmes across Nigeria.

The celebration underscored the Ministry’s commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, rewarding outstanding performance, and inspiring its workforce to continue delivering efficient, transparent, and impactful public service in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Federal Government.
