Promoting Maternal and Child Health Literacy in Nigeria
About the Programme
The My Family Companion (MFC) Programme is a national initiative of the Federal Ministry of Youth Development (FMYD) in collaboration with the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria (MWAN).
The programme is a nationally coordinated effort aimed at promoting maternal and child health literacy across Nigeria through structured reading activities, public engagement, and community participation.
As part of this initiative, the programme is aligned with a Guinness World Record attempt, designed to mobilize young Nigerians and families nationwide to participate in a collective reading and awareness campaign focused on improving health knowledge and outcomes.
