Over the next two years, the Ministry will implement targeted programs that equip young people with relevant skills, support youth-led businesses, and promote access to quality healthcare and mental wellness initiatives. In a bold move to prioritize the needs of Nigerian youth, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, took a decisive step by separating the Ministry of Youth Development from the Ministry of Sports. This restructuring underscores the government’s commitment to addressing youth-specific challenges with tailored solutions.
Since its reformation, the Ministry of Youth Development has been solely focused on the aspirations and empowerment of young Nigerians, championing programs in education, employment, innovation, and leadership. By standing as a distinct entity, the Ministry is now better equipped to serve as a bridge between the aspirations of Nigeria’s youth and the government’s mission to foster national growth.
